Drocourt, Paris. No.8966
A fine porcelain panelled striking and repeating carriage clock with beautifully chased and engraved gilded case. It has superb porcelain panels to both sides, rear door, top and dial with pink borders. Retailed by Reid and Sons, Newcastle, the corniche case has foliate engraving. The eight day movement strikes and repeats on a gong. Drocourt stamp to the backplate and numbered 8966 which is also repeated on the case.

Drocourt (Pierre & Alfred). Rue Debelleyme 28, Paris; Rue de Limoges, Paris also at Saint-Nicholas-d'Aliermont. Trademark: the letters "D" and "C" with a carriage clock between them. Makers of very fine carriage clocks, won a Gold Medal at the 1889 Paris Exhibition.
