A George III mahogany bracket clock. The break arch brass dial with subsidiary regulation dial calibrated 0-60 and strike/silent dial to the arch either side of the silvered nameplate, signed John Pyke, London. The silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, finely matted centre with calendar aperture and false pendulum aperture with original blued steel hands. High quality eight day double fusee movement with five pillars and verge escapement. The pendulum is suspended from the pivoted regulation arm. Striking the hours on a bell, the engraved backplate with a pendulum holdfast.
The rich colour mahogany case with three brass bound raised pads to the break arch with brass carrying handle, brass framed front door with fluted brass corners and brass ogee feet.
