Attractive English mahogany five glass mantel clock. The silvered dial has engraved corner spandrels and is signed Simmons Fareham. The hands are blued steel. Hidden by the silvered sight ring above the XII is a slow-fast timing regulator and to the side of the III is a strike-silent lever.
The high quality, eight day double fusee movement is numbered 13764 and has the original gilt platform lever escapement with a gold balance. The five pillar movement has Harrison's maintaining power and strikes the hours on a gong. The untouched mahogany case is of excellent colour with ogee moulding and bevelled glasses to the sides and top.
