Fine and rare longcase regulator of the best 'Mudge and Dutton' quality, by this one time principle workman involved with the manufacture of Mudge 'copy' chronometers. The ten inch silvered dial with 24-hour dial with the rare feature of winding through the centre of the hour hand, a feature first used by Pennington and also used by Vulliamy. (See Vulliamy No. 220) Fine 8 day movement with pinions of 10, under a glazed inner mounted hood, the pendulum suspended from a Troughton-type 'A' frame mounted on the seatboard.
The mahogany case with typical best quality mouldings.
