A beautiful example of a Regency mahogany bracket clock with rare, white enamel dial and fantastic colour and patina to the case. Circa 1800
Dial
The original and untouched round, white, enamel, convex dial has Roman hour numerals and Arabic minutes. Original blued steel hands.
Case
The flame figured mahogany case with brass bound raised pad to the break arch and brass carrying handle, brass framed, full opening front door with fluted brass corners, pierced and finely engraved brass frets to the front and side apertures, standing on brass ball feet.
Movement
The eight day double fusee movement has an anchor escapement and strikes the hours on a bell. The backplate has an engraved border and is signed Smith, London.
