A mahogany dial timepiece. Circa 1830
Case
Drop dial mahogany case with substantial concave, moulded brass hinged locking bezel. Doors to either side of the trunk. Flame figured mahogany central trunk with moulding above the chisel shaped base with door.
Dial
The 12 inch wooden painted dial with Roman numerals, signed Vulliamy Pall Mall. Blued steel hands.
Movement
The eight day, fusee movement with heavy plates and four pillars, secured by brackets to a seatboard with two knurled bolts. Anchor escapement to the flat steel rod pendulum with heavy numbered bob and knurled rating nut. Signed on the backplate Vulliamy London and numbered 1213.
