The arched silvered dial signed Vulliamy London 1423 with rise and fall adjustment above the XII and concealed strike silent lever at II.
Case
The attractive rosewood case with lovely patina has a stepped and chamfered top, arched brass mouldings to the glazed side panels, the front door with chamfered angles, solid rear door and block feet.
Movement
The eight day double chain fusee movement of superlative quality, having tall plates secured with four brackets. Half dead beat escapement, maintaining power, rise and fall regulation for the pendulum with large brass bob numbered 1423. Striking the hours on a bell. The backplate signed Vulliamy London and numbered 1423. Original lead weight beneath the seatboard. Original double ended numbered winding key.
